Shenzhen Topway New Energy has announced significant advancements in its racing drone battery technology, emphasizing enhancements in power delivery, lightweight design, and durability. The company has introduced a high-discharge lithium cell formulation aimed at reducing internal resistance and improving ion transport. This innovation results in the ability of its 1300mAh 6S battery pack to deliver continuous discharge currents exceeding 130A, ensuring stable power output during intense flight conditions while minimizing voltage drop.
Topway has also incorporated a low-resistance electrode manufacturing process that boosts conductivity and curtails heat generation. This advancement is intended to enhance flight efficiency, extend battery life, and provide consistent performance across prolonged high-load operations, such as those encountered in drone racing and aerial filming. To further optimize performance, the batteries feature ultra-thin aluminum-laminated packaging combined with a reinforced structural design. This combination improves impact resistance without adding significant weight, thereby enhancing the power-to-weight ratio and increasing durability during outdoor use.
The company’s integrated battery management system offers active cell balancing and protection against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and other electrical faults. This system supports fast charging and helps extend the battery’s lifespan. According to Topway, its battery packs can retain over 80% of their original capacity after more than 300 charge cycles and are designed to function in ambient temperatures of up to 60°C. A typical 14.8V 1300mAh lithium polymer battery weighs less than 175 grams and can support burst discharge currents exceeding 200A for brief periods.
Topway also ensures that its products meet several international standards, including UL, CE, RoHS, IEC62133, and IEC62619, with its manufacturing processes certified under ISO 9001:2015. The company’s dedication to quality and innovation underscores its commitment to providing advanced solutions for both competitive and industrial drone applications, reflecting a significant step forward in drone battery technology.
