Newsmatics has announced a collaboration with Masaryk University’s Faculty of Economics and Administration in Brno, Czech Republic, aimed at providing students with hands-on experience in business and artificial intelligence projects. This partnership, which will start in the fall semester of 2026, enables students to engage in real-world projects currently under development by Newsmatics, utilizing the company’s data and technological tools. As part of their educational journey, students will present their project results to Newsmatics’ leadership, with the potential for some initiatives to advance to practical application.
The initial focus of student projects may include assessing marketing effectiveness, pinpointing potential customers, evaluating new markets, enhancing sales through artificial intelligence, and selecting AI tools for customer service. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to explore methods to improve communication with diverse customer segments. This initiative builds upon Newsmatics’ ongoing collaboration with other faculties at Masaryk University, such as the Faculty of Informatics and the Faculty of Social Studies. Previous joint projects have covered fields like software engineering, AI, and data science, with some students subsequently securing professional roles at Newsmatics.
As part of this new venture, Newsmatics employees will contribute to classroom activities by sharing their expertise in AI, global news monitoring, and media technology product development. This involvement aims to enrich the educational experience by linking academic learning with industry insights. The program is also designed to offer students opportunities for paid internships, part-time roles, thesis projects tied to company tasks, and potential employment with Newsmatics upon graduation.
David Rothstein, CEO of Newsmatics, emphasized that the partnership is intended to provide students with a platform to test their ideas against practical business challenges, thereby gaining valuable experience in how these concepts can be applied outside the academic setting. By facilitating this engagement, Newsmatics aims to nurture a new generation of professionals adept at integrating technological solutions into business strategies.
